This piece is for my Entrepreneurial Illustration class. I had a lot of fun with this piece. I pretty much tried to push the absurdity as much as possible without making it too inappropriate. It's about true love.
I am enjoying your illustration, but I don't get the one with a caption explaining that it is about true love. You might be tired of explaining, but I really want to understand your concept. I am an illustrator myself and I've created pieces that needed explaining, so I hope you are not offended. Thanks.
Oh no, I am not offended at all. Well to be honest a lot of my work is not heavy in "concept", but more so in design and stylization. It is actually interesting because in the past I worried a lot about conceptual work and my design suffered, I guess I still need to find a balance of both.
In this piece I just wanted to illustrate a moment in time between two"unconventionally" beautiful people. I like the idea of showing that relationships, or love in general, is not just for the pretty people like shown in movies and television. In fact, most of us don't look that way.
